Ok I have recently moved house and I am now living in a terraced house...

When my dad searches for my wireless connection from his pc he can see other routers around the neighbourhood.

Now I have tried on numerous occasions to password my router so no one can connect, but the thing is, its just not working.

I have a D-Link G604T Wireless

This is the security page, I used the WEP, set the password (set as * in the picture) as the digits I wanted but when I saved, restarted the router and went downstairs to configure my dads connection this, it seemed that the router wasn’t passworded and was still accessible without the password...

What do I do?!

I have the very same router.

Can you not just get the MAC addresses of the network adaptors you want to be able to connect to the router and enter them on the 'allowed' list? Is this isn't secure I should probably look into sorting my own router out

Also... I have had problems before configuring the router with Firefox... if you still have problems, perhaps try IE.

And after all this, if you still have problems, get the latest firmware.
Yah the router isnt on the website any more so i cant get any firmware updates...

I did an update a few months back also...

Ok, how do i set this up? I know some of it, but just so i know im doing it right could someone help me out...
