I've been using eWallet for years, however I recently decided to upgrade to the latest version which to me feels clunky compared to their older versions and now I can't go back because they upgraded the database file.

I have used KeePass in the past but have never really liked it.

Any suggestions? Something similar to eWallet but faster? I don't mind paying.

Thanks
Craig.

Several years ago I tried KeePass several times and couldn't get used to it. Didn;t likw it at all. Then one day I tried it again and spent time configuring it and entering a lot of passwords and setting up custom autotype routines and it's excellent now. Love it!

Been using KeePass for a year or so now, its always been ideal for me. Prior to that I used three passwords for all of my accounts, now each account has its own unique password generated by KeePass.

You could just remember your passwords? :P

How is that secure when I'm being interrogated? :p

But seriously, I generate a password for everything I sign up to.

I think I'll give KeePass a go again. Maybe I've not spent enough time with it.

Does KeePass have any Windows Mobile/Android apps?

Yer KeePass is well worth giving a second chance, it's incredibly useful when you get to know all its functionality.

It's nice only having to remember one password and be able to use unique, very long and highly random passwords for each service you login to. Just keep the database backed up :p

I use it on the Android (search market place), Linux & Windows. Im sure there is a Windows Mobile version to, there is a Java version anyway which should work :)

Nightly backups of my current eWallet database, which have saved me a couple of times in the past due to the new version overwriting data accidentally .

I'll get KeePass installed again and see if I can get along with it :)

I user KeePass 1.17 at work constantly, I have accounts on about 10 Solaris machines, 10 web interfaces and all kinds of other stuff, and KeePass and auto-type are absolutely invaluable, I'd be lost without it. Auto-Type can help in lots of other non-password areas, I have several emails that I send regularly formatted in KeePass, and a quick Ctrl + Alt + A and bingo - half a page of text appears! Long command line stuff is made much easier too... I had a look at V2.x, and found that going from a large 1.x database to 2.x was a pain, so make sure you choose the version that suits you best!

I have been putting my millions of passwords into KeePass and I think it's growing on me, especially considering you can have it running in the background for instant access.

Unfortunately there's no addon to import eWallet files for 2.x.
