password on bios sony vaio PCG-GRT896HP

hi guys,
so my friend come to me and asked if i can sort his laptop as it has lots of virus etc and is slow!
i said yes no probs
he brings it to me and it has no opitical drive as it was taken out for some reason or another, but he did bring an external drive.
so firstly i wiped the hdd then put in the disk to external drive only to find it wouldnt boot.
so i went into bios to see if i could change boot sequence only to find the bios has password, i foned my mate he said "errr hmmm i didnt know it had password"
laptop is a sony vaio PCG-GRT896HP
is there a way to remove the bios password and can i install windows with external drive?

hmmm sounds promising will give it ago and report back.
now saying i do remove password is it posible to boot from external drive or usb?

i did install OP by putting into my laptop which also is a sony viao but when putting back to his laptop it didnt want to play ball.
