Just wondering if it was possible to password protect a certain file on a network drive?

There are files that we (managers and owners) would like to be on our networked drive but because all our staff have access to the drive on all the computers in the office, we'd like certain files password protected.

Is this possible? I've tried folder lock but that won't let me as the folder is on a network drive.

you still can set permissions to specific folders inside a network drive!

EDIT:
for example, we have a "management" folder in a network drive(Z Drive) which only the managers have access to.
Also there is a "Temps" folder which the temporary staff has access to.

What type of files? Microsoft Office files (word, excel etc) can be password protected.

Don't network drives come with user accounts and permissions, just setup users and permissions accordingly?
