Is there away of password protecting your usb ports in windows 7 home edition? Ive read of group policey methods but this is for the likes of Win7 Enterprise/Professional etc.

Im not looking to diable, just protect should anybody every decide to bring in there own usb device without scanning first.

Any help much appreciated!!

I'd say it's unlikely to be a native feature, the best you could hope for would be disabling the ports completely.

Out of curiosity do people often start using your pc without permission? I assume it's a home pc from the OS...

I this kinda what you want?

Gilisoft USB Lock
