Hi All,

I have a website which is just photo albums of family stuff for family etc to look at, I want to password protect it.

I was using htaccess and it worked OK but my provider had a reshuffle and with my hosting package I am now only on HTML server. I had hoped the PHP would work but no, they won't support that. I am on the base package with Amenworld and have been OK with them until they started switching their servers.

So as I see it I have two options:-

1. Find a HTML password protection programme (I found this htlm Password Wizard but don't like the look of it, however it has a free 30 days so may as well give it a go).

2. Move host - any recomendations for cheap, reliable PHP hosting? Bearing in mind I am only paying £6 per year! (tight I know) I looked at a free one (000webhost) but it was really slow, any other ideas?

Thanks.

vidahost and tsohost get the most votes here....but they will be more than £6 a year. If you want php/database etc. you will need to pay a bit more than ya £6. You do tend to get what you pay for hosting wise...
