Password protecting folders in iOS

Is there a way to put a pin/password on a folder which contains multiple apps on iOS?
Even through a third party app?

You might find a way to do this if the phone is jailbroken but not otherwise.

Ah okay, it's for the kids iPad. I wan't to prevent them from going in to certain apps like Safari. Don't really wan't to be jailbreaking the device.

Is that for Apples apps only? I also have a few of mine on there like the Giant Bomb video app which I would prefer them not to be able to get into.

Only for Apple stuff. Works well though (although it's tedious to enable/disable).
