Password protecting Portable HDD

Hi,
I have a 4Gb Giga Cube, I use it on a number of computers (mainly XP) to carry around photos, music etc. I would however like to password protect the drive in some way in order to prevent people for just picking up my drive and exploring/viewing its contents, does anyone know of some good software to achieve this, prefrably freeware.

I would suggest http://www.truecrypt.org/ as you can run the program from the drive without installing anything on the client pc and it has on the fly encryption. It has extensive documentation available here: http://www.truecrypt.org/docs/ .
