password protecting windows folder

is there any way i can password protect the windows folder or make it inaccessible to anyone who tries to go to it via windows explorer?

You could probably make a lot of it read-only, but if you have to run an app which needs to write to the directory you are stuffed.

You could make the folder and it contents hidden and select do not show hidden folders and files in the folder options.

When you want to view it you will have to select show hidden folders and files in the folder though

Do a search on Google for password protect windows folder and it will come up with some software that can do it.

Can't you set permissions to the folder so certain people with certain access can only see it or use it?

yea u can password protect folders but u need certain software to di it it is possible i used to use it bit i crnt remember name of it
