Password Protection of Website?

I know very little about HTML or web design so please humour me

I have a basic web hosting package with TSOhost, the details of which are here:

I have the "Pro" package.

I am not doing anything fancy, I simply use FTP to upload pictures of my family to share with other family members using Picasa which for me, works fine using the HTML export feature.

Is it possible to password protect certain folders on my domain, such as Photos for example?

If I could create logons for individual family members, that would be even better, am just not sure if my hosting package would allow that sort of thing.

Sorry, just had a look in Cpanel and it does all this for me.. how wonderful that is

cPanel is good it will do most things you would ever need

Yep log into cPanel and click the "Password Protect Directories" button
