Password recovery for Excel worksheets possible?

Any way to open an Excel worksheet you forgot the password for? Is there a password breaker?

Several, don't think you will get a free one
There was a thread about cracking word passwords on here a while back.

Someone did suggest opening it in open office to avoid the password, I have no idea if that actually works.

had same problem a couple of weeks ago.

What you want is this: http://www.straxx.com/excel/password.html

Load it into excel then from the tools menu, you just choose unprotect sheet and VOILA!

All free too

NB! This program can't remove file protection, i.e. if you are unable to open the file, this program won't help you.

It sounds like this is a password that you need to enter to open it, not to unprotect it?
