Thanks for the suggestion. Currently on the first one. It is running for several hours but still not finding the password.

Though weI tried Ophcrack against three very simple Windows 10 passwords, not one of them were found.

Maybe skip to the 2nd on the list, Offline NT Password & Registry Editor, which will reset the password. Though you may decide to dupe the drive first - If password is reset on users that have EFS encrypted files, and the system is XP or newer, all encrypted files for that user will be UNREADABLE! and cannot be recovered unless you remember the old password again

Just grab yourself Kali Linux, boot it off USB, and follow an online guide on the process - works 100% of the time; just make sure you have Shut Down Windows 10 - otherwise the SAM file will be locked from editing.
