thanks Ali

dont use personal email on a shared work pc? Surely you shouldn't be anyway?

Where does it download them from, cant you just check it online using webmail instead?

If you were to switch to the Mozilla Thunderbird client, you could password protect your profile with something like this even though it's trivial to bypass it's about the best you will find for local mailbox security without going over the top and messing with usability.

As above, your best bet is to use webmail, if your work doesnt provide it then get a GMail account and set it to download the mail from your works servers.

its not his work email, its his personal email that hes reading at work. Which at least for the company im in, is a breach of terms (not gross misconduct) and as such will get you a lot of ****

its my work email (my email ) NOT personal.
im the boss so its upto me if its breach of terms !!!! which i have already given warning about !!
the pc is in constant use so "to set up pc properly" as in use different accounts is a faf and when you got customers wanting an asnwer while they wait booting to another user account isnt good and all the stock info and details are on main account anyway.

i will probably just use webmail which my provider supports or use my phone.
