Which is your favourite? I'm quite the newcomer to it, up until now I've never really bothered with it. I have some Waitrose Ardennes Pork Liver Pâté which I have enjoyed tonight and had some the other night from Le Bistrot Pierre in Nottingham with Pistachios which was lovely too.

Please share your preferred varieties :)

Wow, some of those look gorgeous.

They are like nothing else I have ever tasted. Simply sublime. We're lucky in that a few delis around here sell them, I doubt that you can get them anywhere else other than online which is a shame. We buy them frozen in foil containers, quite large things but they disappear!

We usually get Cointreau and orange and brandy and herb which are both really really nice. Had the tequila one recently and wasn't that impressed (by Patchwork standards we are talking here though!) The port one we have also had which is really nice as well as the duck with apricot brandy.

Chilli and lemon grass is now on my list to try after having a browse of the website just now :D

I just had some Asda Brussels pate on white toast. It was yummy. I love pate, but never bought any really good stuff (minus Tesco/Asdas 'best' range). It would be a treat for me, and rather spend my money elsewhere.

That Patchwork stuff looks fantastic. Might have to put in an order sometime soon!

I have been known to eat pate, out of the container with a spoon before...Judge me?

My wife is more of a fan then I am and the is always Waitrose Ardennes or Brussels pate in the house. She does occasionally by a delicious liver pate from the Polish deli.

Our local farm shop used to do the Patchwork pate but it was sold in small foil trays as opposed to the tubs posted above, haven't had it for ages but iirc they did Wild boar liver and Rum and chicken liver and brandy both were totally delicous.

Was never really a big fan buta few weeks back I tried some chicken liver and foie gras pate with some bruschetta and cranberry chutney and it was a bit spectacular.

Home-made chicken liver and caramelised garlic mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

(my Mum makes it, I have no idea. Might ask for the recipe one day xD)

Please do, I'd like to make pate.

I recently found this recipe and it's delicious - I will never buy paté from a shop again.

Really easy to make and, at about 60p/100g, cheaper than the Waitrose stuff many seem to favour.

Normally when I find a recipe on the internet, I'll make it once and then fiddle with it to get it to suit my taste. I didn't with this recipe, it's delicious the way it is.
