I have something that needs to be registered so I can protect the invention. In all likelihood I will also need to apply for a patent. I'm digging around to find some information but hoping someone here can point me in a direction..

It costs about £500 all in to apply for a patent iirc.

Yep, just spent half an hour on the phone to them. A patent application pack is in the post!

Nope, I will reveal what it is if my patent application gets rejected/accepted as I won't be bothered about keeping it a secret.

Anyway, no one will remember in a years time
