I thought I would start a thread for this absolutely tremendous game in the console section too. It's an arpg similar to diablo but I feel its way way better - the dodge roll not being on a timer makes this so much nicer to play.

I'm near the end of act 3 on my 2 handed mace weilding warrior class. If anyone has any cool advice, tips, build or thoughts I would love to hear back. I'm running on ps5 pro with pssr set to ultra performance and it runs fantastically well and looks great .

I gave the witch a go briefly then tried sorcerer which I much prefer. Yep graphics wise it looks and plays well. It’s tough but that seems to be what they have gone for. Great atmosphere. Lacking in some QoL areas like menus etc but that will surely be improved over time. I am away on holidays now so won’t get a chance to give it a proper go until the new year.

I'm playing it on PC, and have mixed feelings. Visuals and audio are a big step up compared to PoE1. I mostly enjoy the "slower" pace and combat, but the difficulty ( one shot mechanics ) and restricted mobility options feel off ... and this only gets worse as you progress through the campaign and enter the endgame content. Needs a lot of balancing, in my opinion, and for the devs to reflect on whether their vision for this game aligns with fans' expectations.

I'm hoping trading with other players becomes much easier. An in game auction house with no need to manually enter another players world would be ideal. On console it's very fiddly to trade currently - I have managed to buy things but I've not fully figured out selling yet (I have a premium stash tab but I'm not sure what to do when someone agrees to buy - its very unintuitive)

Act 3 is tough with a warrior. I've hit a bit of a wall with the molten vaults boss as my dps is not high enough to beat him before the larva drowns me at the end. I went back and did trial of schema and trial of chaos to get some ascendancy points. I think I might have to farm for a bit.

I'm finally making progress after grabbing the giants blood passive - allowing me to duel wield 2 handed weapons - my dps is now crazy . I've downed a couple of act 3 bosses and feel much better about my build

Was enjoying this but find it so much slower paced than poe 1. Had some nice builds that I was following from youtube bu they keep getting nerfed.

I hit a wall a few days ago and just farmed gold and xp for a bit, used the gold to respec and the extra levels helped me power through.

I've completed the base difficulty now and moved to cruel difficulty.

My warrior is also pretty slow- having movement speed on boots helps but my current boots don't have it.

I was tempted to give this a go but I don't want to put time into it to have everything reset when the game is released next year.

Unless they have confirmed progress will carry over?

Thought I'd log on and see if there'd made any improvements to the freezing, crashing. The game hadn't even loaded up before it locked up my pc needing a reboot. Guess I'll try again in another month.

I beat cruel yesterday and decided I wanted a quicker charecter for end game. So I've started again with a monk. I'm near the end of act 1 already - absolutely speeding through it.

I got into the first game recently on the Steam Deck and found it tough to manage loot with the controller. Actually picking up specific loot when it piled up was annoying - basically me tapping the analog hoping the right thing is highlighted. I'm assuming they've improved it somehow with the console release.

I'm hoping they will patch in loot filters for consoles.

I just got to Cruel Act 2 with my monk - I've hit a bit of a wall with the traitor boss in the traitors passage - it's optional so i might move on and come back to it. I still need to do my first 2 ascendencies on the base levels so that might help.

Run over the coins it throws out to stop the adds and immediately dodge
When the poison cloud comes - run around, the boss goes invisible and you just need to walk through her - immediately dodge roll.
