patriot ddr2 problem

hi everyone i got a partiot ddr2 4gb kit (single module) couple of days ago but in windows 7, cpu-z and bios its only recognised as 2 gb its starting to annoy me as its supposed to be 4gb kit single module. can anyone help me with this? the product is 6400ll series my motherboard is a foxconn g31mx could not find anything about this on internet

Does the memory module have a full part number stuck on it any ware?

I am wondering if it might of been packaged wrong and its only 2gb.

Edit: the board could only see 4gb via 2 x 2gb modules and not one single module.
