hi, I have found 2gb of ddr3 ram by a company called patriot? are they any good, their ram is going at a price cheaper than ocz/crucial's 1333mhz rams etc and these are 1600mhz? but I dont know how reliable they are. the timings 9-9-9-24 and the lowest price I can get for it is £140... but I dont know if this is good or not because I dont know what they are like.... any advice please? :)

thanks

i've got 4gb (2x2gb) Patriot DDR2 800mhz RAM in my PC at the moment, and i can't fault it

tight timings (4-4-4-12), fast and resonably priced

haven't tried any overclocking but a reveiw by PCStat's got some serious overclocking out of these sticks

i'd buy Patriot memory again

Depends on the ICs

You can get awesome generic ram and terrible branded.

Generally, patriot is put up there with geil etc, not GENERALLY quite as good as OCZ, but once in a while they come up with an equally good product at dirt cheap prices, due to the perceived lesser brand.

Patriot TCCD was DIRT cheap in comparison to the other brands a few years ago, which is when everyone suddenly heard of it.
