Patriot Ram settings???

Hi I recently built a new system and I have this Patriot Ram rated at,

7-7-7 20 @1600Mhz 1.7v

While on default settings in my motherboard the Ram is at,

7-7-7 20 @1066Mhz 1.6v

my motherboard states it can (oc) to 1666+Mhz, so I upped the Divider for the Ram which is now on x8; exactly 1600Mhz and I upped the voltage to the manufacturers default of 1.7v. Only thing is, at these defaults of what the ram should be at, the auto timings on my board says 7-11-11-30. I switched to manual and overided this to 7-7-7-20 @1600Mhz and 1.7v and it wont load windows it just restarts?? Im guessing it wont run at what its specified for on my board? Is it not possible to run those timings on a board rated at 1066/1333 and capable of (oc 1666+) the ram says certified for AMD BLACK EDITION and tested on 790FX board? Im :confused:

I have the same memory in an ASUS M4A785TD-V EVO (785G Chipset) in order to get it running stable you may need to increase the mem voltage a bit more.

I have mine currently set to 1.74v at 1600mhz @ 7-7-7-20

Anything under 1.7v would result in memtest errors and reboots in windows.

At 1.7v my system would randomly freeze up. Slightly higher than 1.7v was ok but prime95 would crash.

So far 1.74v has been perfect.

So try increasing the memory voltage. I would say for now do not go above 1.75v.

Post back your results.
 
Hmm, Ive had a look the only voltage option for that range is

0.+100
0.+150 = 1.750 volts, Is this safe to run on? or is it ok; but just dont go over that?

EDIT * The PC3-12800 (1600MHz) modules have been tested on the AM3 790FX/GX platform at are certified at those speeds at 1.8V

Do you think that Info above is correct in saying *certified* @ 1.8v I found this artical on google.

OK I upped the voltage to 1.75 and it BSOD before it loaded, I then upped it to 1.8v and Im running now writting this message, but prime 95 runs and after 30 seconds core 1 drops out then core 2 fails. Not sure what 2do now???

Do I have to increase cpu voltage again??? I have upped it by 0.+025v before I adjusted the ram and it was working fine then. temps are already 65c because of that 0.025v increase :/
