Is This ram any good :http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MY-008-PA. Can I spray paint it red cos I like to stay with the red theme. It's a silly question but can it happen?

Wow nice find, the ram looks great, tighter timings than the other sets at similar price.

I dont see why you cant paint it red, just take the heat sinks off and spray. It will probably make the cooling capability worse though.

Heatspreaders on RAM are usually glued on, so you might have some trouble with that.

Can I paint the ram heat sinks, anyone know someone who did this?. Patriot ram are good but don't like the blue colour

Paint them if you want, it will look **** but feel free.

Nothing is stopping you, just don't paint the gold connectors.

Either take the heatsinks off and spray them as normal, or put masking tape over the gold connectors and as much of the circuit board as you can access, then spray.

The sinks are likely to be glued on, and the glue is designed to cope with fairly high temperatures so will be rather difficult to remove.

I'd be more likely to get the mental ram than the mental motherboard, but that's just me. There's a matx evga board due soon which looks beautiful, but I do have a soft spot for matx systems.
