"Patties" in Glasgow

When I first came to the NE and I asked for fishcake and chips they looked at me funny for a while. Proably thinking 'fish?.. and cake?... I'm going to be sick' :eek:

I started explaining what I meant but one of them said "he means a pattie" so I got that. I was disspoint.

I prefer fishcakes really, they're seasoned and fluffy. Patties I've had aren't usually seasoned.

Have you managed to get a parmo there yet?

God i ******* love Parmos!!! they started selling them in a local takeaway last year, i must have had 50 in 6 months, then they stopped :( now cant get them anymore :(

As for the "fishcake" thats how they all are at every fishshop where i live, that and we have parsley fishcake which are the mushed up fish version.
