Hey hey,

just bought this book that he's released, (title in the topic) and wanted to know if any one else has also been doing this ?

I could go into my life story, but i won't, i'll give you a brief outlook. Three years ago i started a new job (which i finish next week) and before that job i was the most unconfident person. I wouldn't ring for pizza's, taxi's, basically had a fear of using the phone. Up to the point where if any thing had to be done over the phone, someone else had to do it.

Started the job in I.T, building PC's and such, and slowly gained confidence from the people in the same building as me. Got promoted, and found a new job for a huge company. But i still lack the basic confidence a lot of people are naturally gifted with. I can't enter a club / pub, look at a girl and go over and chat which is something i've always wanted to do. The only time i have ever pulled in a pub / club is when a girl came up to me and initiated conversation. It's hard, it's like there is a big wall infront of me.

Upon reading through the first part's of this book, i already feel like i've changed, feel like a more confident person. The CD you get with the book is also a huge help, though it's better if you listen with stereo. You have music in the background, Paul chatting different things in your left and right ear, and to make a point he chats in both ears at the same time.

Now i don't remember what the CD is about, i've listened to it a few times and can only remember bits and bops (normal apparently) as this cd programs your unconcious mind to let go of your boundaries and become more naturally confident. Which it's definately done so far. I'm walking up straighter, my head is held higher, and i feel a glow about me which has been missing.

People who know me off these boards, will be saying to them selves "Wait a minute, this isn't Andy talking. He is a confident person" around people i know i am, but in most situations i'm not.

The main reason for me buying this book was that i start a new job in a week. With this new job brings a lot more new possibilities, and steps for progression. If i appear to be confident, and able about the work i do (which i can do very well) then i'm bound to move up the ladder a lot quicker.

Confidence is very often mixed up with arrogance (walking with head up in the skies is a sign of arrogance) but this is really not the case. Any one who suffers from low confidence, buy the book, learn the techniques, do what the book says and you will feel better about your self. I know i have.

I'll report back in a week or so, and tell you lot how i'm doing and what change's it's made to me. About to go listen to the CD before bed. People who have used this post back on here and we can share whats happened. Feel free to ask questions if you fany getting the book, you can pick it up from as little as £6 brand new. Whats that to most people ?!

It sounds like something i could use. My confidence is shot at the moment and, like you said,£6 is nothing!

Are you saying that you believe you've been hypnotised in some way through listening to the CD?

For 6 quid it might be worth a lot of people trying. I myself am really confident and I have no problems but it could be interesting to find out if this is entirely accurate :D

It feels like hypnosis, but it isn't. It;s him reprogramming your mind, using visual stimulae and by him inplanting words and reworking your pathways. If you relate something to being unconfident, so it;s then more of a habit, it breaks that down, and re-works it into confidence. CD is 27 minutes long. Just finished the cd and now i do have a warm feeling over me, i'm sat up bolt right with my head up, and feel good :)

Will post back tomorrow morning during work and explain some more :)

Sounds like a good book. If it makes you more confident, without turning you into an arrogant *** then it can't be a bad thing.

I'd love to hear how you progress with this one. If it works well, I might well reccommend it to a mate who's confidence in himself is shot to hell at the minute.

Ninja "Dead of the Night" Edit: Tempted to give it a listen myself as well!

Defo going to get this. ATM I'm also suffering for lack of self cofidence mainly because of how bad my health is atm and scince the beggining of last year I've quit my job, stoped going to school, didn't even go out of the house until December which was when I though I had turned things around but I find myself in the same downward spiral and avaoid going out apart from to the Hospital or when I actually feel well (which is rare).

If its not hypnotherapy i would conclude some form of mental placebo.

Where can I get these Placebo's???!!!

I might look into this as well, I don't suffer from lack of confidence as such, but a debilitating self loathing and hatred for myself as a human.

duno if he covers that in the book.

P.S Above is the truth!!

Same tbh.
Wonder how it will effet me.

Don't get me wrong, i'm not saying it will work, or completely rid your life of any problems. All i'm saying is that it's given me extra confidence, and now i can imagine me doing things i've found hard before.

It's hard to explain, but i just feel different, even though work at the moment is treating me like **** i don't care, i'm sat up straight, i'm smiling, i'm confident.

It's weird, maybe i'm more perceptible to these things, who knows.

Would love to find out from the people which ordered the book, how they get on. You have to do the exercises every day, and listen to the CD (can't listen to the CD whilst driving, as you need to close yer eyes and relax, with nodistractions from the outside world)

I've not read it all, read the first 8 chapters. it breaks it down into little pieces, and inplants little things into your mind. It tells you exactly why things happens, and what you cna do about them, at the end of each chapter there is an excercise to do which puts every thing in perspective. A lot of the exercises are on the CD too, but you need to use both of them. You can't just listen to the CD, or just read the book, both of them should be done at the same time.

The book and CD basically works out as a personal session with him. On Sky One, there is a program (i can change your life) or something ot that effect, with him. Where he takes people who want to be changed for whatever reason, sits them down in his office and does exactly whats in the book / cd. of course it's not as good as a personal session, but if you take it that way and use it, then it definately does work. For me any way.

It must be working, as i've just phoned up sarnie place, and ordered a bunch of sarnies for the work mates. Which is something i would have dreaded to do a month ago, infact even a week ago.

Just can't explain it.

Still sounds like hypnosis to me, though I don't mean the stereotypical stage hypnosis where you supposedly end up 'walking' on all fours and barking like a dog, or flapping your way around the stage clucking. I mean the medical type hypnotherapy using altered conciousness and levels of concentration to promote suggestibility, or self-suggestibility. And if it is a form of the latter, I'm not at all surprised it helps with confidence issues. To be honest, I'd have been more surprised if it hadn't, providing the material supplied is done well, as it can be a very useful and powerful tool.

In any event, I'm glad it's helping you. :)

Quite possibly, it would suggest the fact that you don't remember the whole CD. I remember parts, specific words, but couldn't tell you exactly what was on the CD.

I've never been hypnotised before, or have i ?!

sounds like a book that i could do with reading. will see if i can pick it up this weekend.
i have similar issues when it comes to using the phone. i started working for a new company in july, and just after christmas i was given a phone for my desk. i hate answering it, but i am slowely getting better. i think this book may give me the push i need.
