is there actually a noticeable difference with these and what's better if anything? anyone tried the x-fi ones?

Very hard to tell but i was getting a lot of crackling in my mp3's which began to annoy me so i decided on an upgrade to the latest pax xfi drivers. At first i thought they wasn't working no rear sound , went into creative console launcher , switched to 4x4 speakers then x-fi CMSS3D , clicked the surround option Upmix mode , Stereo Surround 50% ( very nice ).

The sound up front is more prenounced than the rears which i don't like , this goes for all drivers xfi/pax. Went into system control panel , Sound , Speakers , Levels Tab , Balance and reduced the sound for the front two speakers only. So the sound is balanced through all 4!

Happy so far :)
