Pay at Pump - Christmas day

Morning folks and Merry Christmas. Before I go driving around, I need fuel and cannot find an answer on Google.

Are the pay at the pumps open today - if not Morrisons, any of the 24hr store ones?

I doubt supermarket garages will be, but I’m sure some of the larger garages will be.

Motorway service fuel stations will be open as they are required to offer fuel every day by law.
Supermarkets will most likely be shut.

Asda have some 24h pay at fuel pumps that should be open. I've never been on Christmas day, but I have been out of hours when the garage has been shut but the pay at pumps still work.

That's a good point, I think the majority of large asda petrol stations are like that now - 24hr and unmanned. Some stand-alone Tesco ones are like that also, however all the Morrisons ones I've been to appear to all switch off when the kiosk closes. No idea about sainsburys, or even costco.

My local large asda is 24hr but doesn't do any super unleaded unfortunately so I rarely fill up there unless passing in the people carrier, the 24hr Tesco does, and so does the unmanned Gulf.

My local Tesco is annoying tbh. Supermarket is 24hr but fuel closes at 12 despite 9 of the 12 pumps being able to offer pay-at-pump.

Sceptical it's truly unmanned, but could be wrong. Probably need someone to monitor CCTV and be able to go over there from the main store if something goes wrong.

I actually needed to get fuel on Christmas Day and struggled at any supermarket, even Asda, which is only pay at the pump - the forecourt was closed.

The various Essos/BPs/Shells on the A27 were open though.

Sainsburys is the same pumps close at 10 sharp but store is open till at least 11 they even start coning off the area before time so people don't pull up at the last minute and try and grab fuel before the system shuts down
