Just need to decide on a monitor now, which is proving really tough :(

It all looks good but if you are thinking about overclocking (and I reckon you should be) you will probably want a better heatsink and fan, maybe a Tuniq Tower or possibly a Scythe Ninja as both are worth looking at. :)

A P5B Deluxe WiFi has newer southbridge (ICH8R) and will clock higher than the P5W DH, but I guess it won't make that much difference with an E6600.

Otherwise it looks sweet!

I was under the impression that the 965 chipset was better suited to E6400 & E6300 and for the E6600 and above the better options were the 975 chipsets?!

Anyone able to offer any monitor advice without me posting another thread? Looking for 20" - 22" in size, widescreen preferred :)

LOL - why do you reckon i should be? Out of curiosity...

You've gone for reasonably high end parts, that is all, plus it is a bit of a waste not to overclock a Conroe. ;)

The 975 chipset is a higher end chipset and so is a natural pairing for the 6600 and above but it can't reach quite such high FSB speeds as the 965 normally so it isn't ideal for the 6300 and 6400 which is the usual reason why the division is made. The 965 chipset should be as good for overclocking the 6600 and above as the 975 is but the 975 isn't so good for chips below the 6600 if that makes it any clearer. :)

Sorry I don't know enough about monitors to advise beyond saying that the Dell 2005 was nice when I used it, take a look in the monitors sub-forum as it has a lot of useful information.

All seems to make sense, although another couple of stella's and i'll be confused all over again - such numbing inevitability about it all, love it!

I've looked at every monitor now for sale with OcUK and am stumped good and proper. Definately want a DVI connection and 1:1 pixel mapping is preffered too. I have to get advice soon on the monitor matter, if i get too drunk, it won't get ordered... :D
