Pay didn't go in... bank question

So, due to be paid my first wage today (Wednesday) and I bank with HSBC. I can usually see what's clearing in my account 24 hours prior to the funds being credited etc however, my pay isn't showing as pending I rang HSBC earlier and they said that it could be credited tomorrow but I've never had this.

I got my payslip on Monday.

Can anyone offer and info? Could the pay go in before 9am say?

what day did they say they were paying it? My employer actual pay via faster payment so it wont show as pending, itll not be there then appear.

My pay usually goes in early hours of the morning of the day I'm due to be paid, which is ~10th of the month.

Don't panic , you'll probably wake up in the morning to a healthy looking balance.

I remember the first month I was awaiting my pay and I'd took a small £100 wonga loan. My pay wasn't in at 1AM and I sat up for hours bricking it thinking **** 4000% APR or something. It went in at 3AM and I slept like a baby.

Are you sure you will get paid if it is your first payday? For the job I am at now it took 6 weeks to get my first paycheck because HR hadn't completed all tax documents and updated their system within the first 2 weeks so that payment was skipped until the next month. Similar thing at my previous job, HR hadn't finished sorting out paperwork within 1 month so my first salary was actually a check 6-7 weeks after I started.

Well seeing as he's had a payslip I'd imagine he is getting paid.

Wednesday could be up to 3am, by end of business day. but your money should get clear between 9am and 12 noon. i had had this problem last month, it got clear 9am on the day.

but if its your 1st pay, you should call HR by noon,if it doesn't clear by 9am, could be error.

well sat up until 2am and nothing so just decided that it would probably go in this morning and sure enough it did, was there when I awoke Cheers for the help guys.
