Pay Pal money funding

When you buy something on PayPal when does the money come out off your credit card and when does it come out your bank account.

AFAIK it's straight away on both accounts.

It comes off my (online) available balance using debit card instantly and appears on the statment a few days later, Direct Debit bank payments don't seem to appear until a few days later but come straight off the overall balance.
