Morning guys just bought a new MB, CPU, RAM and graphics card and need the system overclocked. I live down in Plymouth and don't have the spare time to do this my self. Any one living down this neck of the woods want to do it or do you know of a company that will do it?

CPU 4790k cooled by h110i
Ram DDR3 2400 corsair dominator platinum
MB MSI gaming 7
Graphics Asus gtx 780 6gb

any help would be greatly appreciated

May I ask you a question why would you want to overclock? Do you do any video rendering something cpu heavy? I have similar spec computer and I find overclock as not necessary as computer can max out almost all game except crysis 3 where I have to turn down anti aliasing down a little to get smooth 60 fps

He might run a 120hz monitor, or 1440p, or eyefinity..

Vasilltino I know one computer shop in Plymouth that may do it however it's against forum rules to post competitors so I don't know how to help. I don't want to get flagged

I want to overclock just because I do lol

Have preordered the new asus ROG monitor as I dont see the benefit of 4k just yet!

So you want to overclock, but not actually overclock?
Like you want to run a race without running?

Or do you want an overclocked PC, so you can tell people about your overclocked PC?

it's like, 2 hours out your day to OC it, just do it yourself

I don't understand the grief here, if he wants something and he's willing to pay for it why does he need to justify it to any of you?

Well it's like if someone has a really nice car, a real custom job.
Then you find out they know nothing about it...just paid for it, couldn't change oil.

Encouraging them to OC their own PC will develop the skill and it's much more rewarding in the end, and it's nicer to show off.

I'd imagine it'd take more time and effort to just arrange for someone to come and visit you to overclock it rather than just banging a basic 4.4GHz or so yourself. That's even before you take payment into account.

Ban!!!! :D:p:D

This is a enthusiast forum. It's what we do.

OP. You need to do it yourself. It's not hard and there are plenty on here that will help you. By doing it yourself you will understand what's being changed and why so that if things get a bit unstable down the line, or you lose the settings, you will know how to put it right again.

Never mind guys, I dont really care how its done. All I want is it done. I have money to spend on it so its irrelevant my reasons. Was a simple request for information that's all.

and it's got nothing to do with bragging rights haha!

the time it would take to do it yourself is pretty much exactly the PC downtime of letting someone else do it....unless he has a backup pc to use while someone sits there and fiddles about

But if he doesn't know the first thing about how to do it then there's the time in learning how to do it and it's nobodies business to tell him how to spend his time or money, he's made it clear he's doesn't want to learn how to do it and would prefer someone else to do it for him and he's set a budget aside for this so repeatedly saying "do it yourself" isn't helping him in the least and it's not answering his question either.

OP it doesn't look like your going to get the answer here so I'd probably look elsewhere.

Calm down there, If he asks in a forum, and they advise him on the best course of action, this isn't a Q&A, it's a discussion.
And as part of that, I advised he do it himself, He doesn't want to. Fine.

But His question was answered in the 4th post by SamyBoy13, A shop where he is located, with can't be posted due to the rules, and he was asked to message SamyBoy13.

From that point on people are just advising him on a 'help yourself' strategy, "Teach a man to fish" and all.
