PAYE Forms - TAX

Give your local tax office a bell - they will take you through the right forms etc

Short of that, you will get refunded when the tax year is over...in 10 months.

Just to point out (from my own experience): the tax office are not mindreaders and have no idea how much you will work over the course of the year and if you are going to go over your tax free allowance, which is why they tax you normally unless you inform them of your situation or wait for the year to finish.

Tax Code B is short for BR.
If this isn't your first job, you should get a P45 from your previous employer.

If this is your first job, you need to fill in the first section of the P46 and get your employer to fill in the second section.

Looking at this afresh this morning, this looks to be correct. If you're earning so little then no one will be deducting tax anyway, assuming you've put in your p45/6.

As mentioned before B is short for BR which means Basic Rate. If you have this code you will be paying tax as if you had already used up your tax free allowance. If your employer had no proof of your tax code from previous employment they will use that as an interim until the IR provides them with an official one. As long as you dont exceed the lower earnings tax threshold this year you should be able to claim it all back.
