PAYG iPhone 3G data compression

Hi all,

I'm getting really sick of the data compression on my PAYG iPhone 3G when using O2s network. I've tried the well documented 'bypass' in the username box, but that doesn't stop the data compression at all. Has anyone got any ideas as to how to fix this?

Do you mean re-compression of images when browsing?

Yes image quality is very poor regardless of whether I use 'bypass' or not as the username.
