Recently been trying to resolve an issue on my paypal account where I bought something and the seller didnt send it, resulting in my asking for my money back. Paypal put "refund initiated then refund complete" on my account and 3 days later still not seen the money, to then get an email saying the problem was resolved in the sellers favour.

Even better, phoned them up to ask what had happened and all I got was abuse from some foreign guy over the same called malique and the phone slammed down on me.

I've filed to close my account, lost £158 because of their incompetence

Rant over

Dont talk to me about paypal and there resolution tactics. Ive just lost £275 because they decided in the favour of a buyer who bought a phone off me. Apparently his account got hacked by a lituanian phone retailer. Its a load of cack.

Paypal are the biggest joke of the auctioning community. Unfortunately, due to being part of the eBay company it is impossible to be an online trader on that site without using paypal. As an individual seller, I recommend only using online payment methods such as Nochex etc.

If you are selling via Paypal, make sure you send items using Royal Mail Recorded Signed For, or Royal Mail Special Next Day Delivery AND only selling to "confirmed/verified addresses" (check this before sending the item).

indeed they are a joke, havent used them for a couple of years since they suspended my accounts and wouldnt open them even though i faxed in everything they wanted...

Never had a single problem with PayPal ever - been using them more or less since they started out.
They only rule in favour of the seller is if he can prove the item was sent by supplying a tracking number.
So that means the seller must have sent his item via a service similar to Royal Mail Special Delivery etc.

If the seller has been able to provide this information to Paypal they will be able to provide the same information to you.
Armed with this you can contact the courier firm in question and find out where your package is.

Sorry - but your attack on Paypal simply doesn't add up.
You've either got all the information required to chase down the package with the courier firm (hence Paypal ruling in the sellers favour) or you've got your money back - certain not neither.

Visit http://www.paypalsucks.com - I assure you it's a real website.

Do all of the complaints on this website (9458 threads alone in the general threads section of the forum) not add up either?
