just sold a phone on ebay worth 160 only the buyer has an Unconfirmed Address. should i not send this item out?he has paid me already

Whatever you do, send it Special Delivery.

I'd verify the address with the buyer before posting, too.

Remember that not all banks provide the service to PayPal (and other companies) to verify addresses, so not all UK accounts will have confirmed addresses.

Dont send it unless he has good feedback.

Don't fall into the trap i did - he can easily just cancel his paypal debit through his credit card company and leave you in the lurch [no matter what method you send it by].

To be on the safe side, transfer the funds into your bank account then.

TBH, he sounds like safe enough to me.

As I say, just verify the address and transfer the funds to your bank account. Once these are done (and you can see the money in your bank), send only by Special Delivery.

Notify the seller you will send by Special Delivery once the funds have cleared.

makes no difference i am afraid... if a payment is reversed they give you a negative paypal balance then send the debt collection agencies after you.

Special Delivery makes 0 difference unless the address is confirmed, plus emailing them to confirm the address isn't really going to help if they're a scammer anyway. Only way to be safe is to get a confirmed address.

PayPal will NOT cover you if you do not post to a confirmed address - for something valuable, do not risk it.

Check if the addresses on the eBay account (the address should be at the bottom of the email from eBay stating that your item has been sold) and the address on the PayPal account match.

Definitly send it RMSD... at least that way you can get the police involved etc if anything does happen to go wrong.

Another thing you can do is wait 5 working days from transferring the money to your bank account to posting the item - sometimes if someone elses PayPal account has been used for payment, the owner of the account realises and contacts PayPal, and they will get the money refunded (it usually happens within these 5 days) - tell the buyer that you are just doing that to cover your back... if hes an honest buyer, he will understand etc...

Sorry if I am a little unclear... Ive said a lot of different things, all which I would normally do for something above £50 and if the buyer has an unconfirmed address (also, I am a little drunk, so that may have something to do with my rambling :p)
