Paypal alternative?

For some reason, for the last 3 months Paypal have put all of my received payments on hold for a week+ (basically 24-48 hours after tracking shows they are delivered).

Rather than start asking people to post me a cheque (which would quicker and more convenient, but only slightly), is there a viable alternative out there? Every time I've spoken to them I've had the same script about it being done automatically by the system due to an unusual selling pattern, so to be honest I'd rather pay my fees to someone else.

Sorry, I should have said, I'm a private individual selling low volumes of random personal stuff on FB marketplace etc. Something which buyers are going to be confident using - e.g. offers some level of buyer protection.

Don't need any high volume business oriented service, just something that isn't going to constantly see me £50+ out of pocket in postage costs for a week or more while Paypal earn interest on my money.

Nothing as ubiquitous as Paypal and in my experience people will be reluctant or outright refuse to sig up to a service they are unfamilar with so cash would be your next best option.

Yes, that was pretty much what I found in my search, but wanted to make sure I hadn't missed anything.

Seems like there's a gap in the market for a convenient online payment service open to private individuals which offers a level of buyer protection whilst also charging reasonable fees and providing a high quality of service to sellers, because as far as I can tell, no such service exists. Maybe I'll create one and call it SpendBuddy :p

I suspect there isn't a high quality of service because of the fees that would come with it. It's like courier companies - Yodel/MyHermes exist because people don't always want to pay for a high quality service like DPD/UPS.
