Paypal E-Cheque, am i getting scammed?

So update.

Today I received a full refund by CHAPS, he claims it was sent last Tuesday by bank BACS but I don't really care.

I feel a little bad because I sent him quite a harsh email and said I would report it to the police today only to find the money back in my account 3 hours later.

Seems very dodgy...and his house is for sale too. Maybe he has no money whatsoever?

His businesses might have gone broke, he might have been selling off household stuff to cover bills, it might now have been sold elsewhere and he has nothing to dispatch.

Hopefully you'll get paid before he is listed as bandrupt, the house sale (althought he may own it) might be due to fail to pay mortgage. So he might be losing that also.

Who knows, but hopefully you'll get the cash back.
Thats said for purchases worth as much, probably is best to collect in person.

he seems to have owned a 4 million AUD home in the past the only issue I could find was that he had some sort of business deal go wrong with some Nigerian family a few years ago.

Fixed.
