I read that paypal personal account fees are limited to charges if £50 or less is withdrawn to bank and only a premier/seller or business account incurs the 3.4% +£0.20 of the payment a seller recieves.

Is it worth getting a paypal acc? I had one before but I deleted it when I got stroppy about ebay overcharging me and the fact I cancelled a highest bidders bid which meant that I got no free relisting.

Probably Id like to know if I would be losing out potential money if I dont have a paypal acc.

I wanted to sell an account for a game similar to WoW (but not WoW); also Ive been asked if I can sell some household furnishings.

Thx for help in advance.

Hope this is not against rules, I feel a suspension would be harsh if it is. :)

On a personal account you will have to pay 3.4% if your buyer pay by credit card, if they pay from an existing paypal balance you wont pay any fees, most will pay by creditcard so you'll have to pay fees regardless most of the time

I think it is worth it if you buy and sell a fair bit, not really much point if you dont buy. i don't really understand the rest of that paragraph, but you only get your relisting fee refunded if the item sells the second time around.

Again i'm having trouble understanding your English, but what i can say is you will loose out on the posibility of more people bidding on your auction if you don't accept paypal. You can sell pretty much anything you like on ebay as long as it is legal!

Have a read of the ebay forums

I signed up to it, but still need to get verified. I dont like the sound of 3.4% fee from paypal but its better than no sale at all.

I think u didnt understand parts of what I was saying cause I was trying to make shorthand out of a long story. :p

3.4% isn't that much, and a lot more people will bid on your items if you accept Paypal due to the convenience (for them) of paying with it - ESPECIALLY if you're getting bids from abroad, as international bank transfer charges are a total rip-off!
To give you an example, I recently went shopping on ebay for a coffee grinder which was only available from Germany. There were two auctions that ended on the same day. I emailed both sellers, and one replied that he accepts Paypal, while the second said she only accepts cheque, bank transfer or cash wire transfer. Now, I can make international bank transfers at no cost to myself (irrelevant how), but, for most people, that would mean that the second grinder would have cost them whatever they bid for it plus £20 for the transfer. The auction of the guy who accepts Paypal closed at 38 Euros. The second auction only got 2 bids, and I was the winner at 11 Euros. Do you see?
