PayPal Query

Hi there,

Right i paid someone for an item over paypal the other day, only to find out that the account i had sent it to wasn't valid. After sorting it out with the seller, I paid him the money to the correct account and canceled the other transaction. Now I have a status of the money in my paypal account as 'Temporary Hold' ?

Has anybody came across this before? What does this mean as the money has still come out of my bank account, does this automatically go back in or something?

Yep thats cool I've sorted it, apparently they have to hold the money for 7-9 days then can release it back into my account

Sounds like just another way of PayPal making interest

Off topic...

I am just seting up a paypal accout, I'm on the last bit - the security code, where you get an automated call etc.

I've entered the code over the phone, and now I'm just waiting for an e-mail fom paypal.

It's been 3 days now, does it normally take this long?

If I remember it did take a while, not sure whether or not it was 3 days though?!
