Hi guys, had this email today apparently from PayPal with the heading 'Other IP Logged in [ 12/2/2016 ]' and contains what I have posted in the spoiler tags below. I think its a scam as it says dear customer, a legit email would say my name wouldn't it?

What do you folks think?

Thanks!

Looks fake. When someone tried to sign in from a different location on my Paypal account it was blocked and I was notified by name. Upon signing into said account on my PC (going via proper Paypal URL), gave me the location of the attempt somewhere in the US, saying they tried to sign into my account, recommend password change.

Paypal will use your account name, not 'Customer', if they contact you.

The biggest giveaway is always the senders address though :D

I honestly don't know why email clients don't provide easier access to the original sender information - while its a bit technical even my mum can usually work out if its likely to be legit or not if it resolves to something totally random instead of something semi official looking.

Assume all emails like this are fake as a starting point. Just open a fresh browser, log in and if its real you will have a message in your account.

......and the fact that every use of the word paypal is a hyperlink.

I've seen far more convincing ones than this so you'd best prepare yourself...

You actually have to ask?

Hate to say it, but this. The whole thing screams scam email.

What amazes me is, how little effort goes into the spelling and grammar. Surely if they took a little bit more effort to fix these, they'd have a ton more victims?
