PayPal sets down stricter regulations for file-sharing sites

I agree regarding torrents but newsgroups?, most newsgroups already having a policy regarding piracy and illegal stuff. They also use SSL

Torrent sites are irrelevant. Most of the public sites use advertising. Any site violating the PayPal terms of service shouldn't be allowed to use their service.

Wouldn't it just be easy not to tell Paypal what site the account is being used for...

Anyway, just an other example how bad the Internet is becoming.

Why? So you can't pilfer content that you would otherwise have to pay for?

Like it or not things like games, music and films cost money to make and the owners need to paid for that to continue. If anyone does not like that they should abstain from having the product really. There is an argument for the reliance on outdated payment models/distribution but these things are changing in the right direction

Otherwise I would have to pay for? if the only option was to buy it, then I wouldn't buy it.

The game, music and flim industry will make enough money even if it's available to download.
