Hi,

Could someone kindly advise me how I would go about implementing PAYPAL to my website so that I can receive donations?

Would the user need to have a paypal account? It would be ideal if they didnt..

I am a total n00b so please go easy on me :)

From my knowledge of Ebay.

You simply open a Paypal account , using an email address.

This is then verified by Paypal ( they deposit 2 small amounts into the bank account you have registered and then you tell them the amounts recieved. )

to clarify:

I would like users who visit my site to be able to make donations from my website to my paypal account.

Do I need to know php? to do this?

the idea is for the user to be able to click on a link lets say to make a donation, the link they click on would ask them for credit card details etc...I think this is how it should work? please correct me if im wrong..

so what chance do I have of setting this up? remember im a n00b :)

I think the " User " would have to ,also , have a Paypal account.

you can use paypal as an complete account service, people with paypal can send you money from their back account. If someone hasnt got a PayPal account they can then just use paypal as a 3rd party to transfere money from a cerdit card to your paypal a/c
