PC 4000?

My mate has a motherboard that uses DDR 1 PC 4000.

He only has 512mb and wants another gig. This looks like it might be expensive (to him not me) as the cheapest i saw was £90.

Anyway would it not be better to get some other ram? other than pc4000? something that is widerly avialable. Any ideas?

This is PC 3200? is that not the model before PC 4000? would it work ok?

A tad slower, but it'll work fine.

If he's overclocked his system, the slower RAM might not work at the faster bus speeds. If he's actually an overclocker I'd be surprised if he doesn't know this already.
