I have got 4x 1gb pc6400 Ballistix memory on my Abit IPRO board but for some reason when i use cpuz it dont show anything for my memory which was strange as it did detect my previous low budget stuff on another board ??

Also how can you overclock your memory?

I mean i have seen those sets of numbers which I assume is the speed 4-4-x-x blah blah but how do you set them up and use it and also what software do you use to test the memory when overclocking ??

Help would be appreciated :)

The 4-4-4-12 stuff are memory timings, they relate to how fast sections are the RAM run at as well as their rated frequency. You can change these option in your BIOS, probably under Advanced BIOS options, although due to the board they may be located in the uGURU page instead. When you say CPU-Z doesn't show the memory information, do you mean on the actual memory tab or in the SPD tab?

If you want, and I would recommend it, I would read the stickies at the top of the page which give a lot of very useful and good information about what the timings mean, and what gives bigger jumps over everything else and how you keep them stable. This thread in particular shows that, and view that and search for "Q. Woah, woah, thats too technical. Just tell me what the common timings do and what 6-2-2 etc refers to!", it's about the 4th question down in the first post.
