This is mainly to do with the stock LED fans that come with the silver case. Now, the big question is: do you keep the stock fans or do you replace them?

I've currently kept both my 120mm blue LEDs and have an 80mm amber for the blowhole. I was considering replacing the stock with some more ambers but the glow has really grown on me, so now I'm not so sure.

What's everyone else's opinion?

you got LED fans with your pc7 +?? I got some big black Lian Li ones, as for the ambers if your happy with temps / noise of your case why bother?

I wouldn't mind making it quieter ;)

Is your case silver / when did you buy it?

Nix got the PC007, most people now get the PC7+II.

Just a batch OcUK had in thats all. :)

If you want to keep the glow, consider getting a couple of banks of LEDs and stick them next to your ambers, that will be the same basically but quieter. :)

And yes, I replace all stock fans bar my Zen's, as the Zen's fans (£30 case) are considerably better than my S80's stock fans. (£180)

Fans are personal really, depends what case and what you are after, and what you can hear!

I like acoustifan dustproofs as my top fan, just brilliant at 5v, I also like 80mm old SilenX fans, but most dont rate them.

As this is about the PC7+II and fans...the black PC7 that OcUK has in stock at £57.52 inc VAT...does that have 2x120mm fans in it, one front one back, or 1x120mm at back and 1x80mm at front, as there are mixed reviews allover the web about it.

I want to get the case, but I plan on replacing the stock fans with some Akasa Ambers, and it'd be good to know if I need two 120mms or of each. :) Although if there are better fans available from OcUK (quieter and better airflow) then point me towards them.

I don't like LED fans (have some in my current pc and it's just anoying), my opinion on the matter (as I is stated above really) is to swap out the LEDs for some better fans to keep noise down. :)

2 x 120mm - one at the front and one at the back.
1 x 80mm (fan not included with case) at the top.

There are better fans on OcUK, but your looking at twice the price per fan for them, the Ambers offer the best value for money, and coupled with the PC7+II which is 120/120 with 80mm blowhole that really has no use, they offer stunning value for money.

PC7+ is such a step up from a value case, in my opinion it is where real cases start. :)

Current case was £8 from a bargin section with a competitor...it holds my pc...just about..so it's fine for this one. The PC7 will be a huge step up and will be worth it. :)

What confuses me is that OcUK have the PC7+ listed not the PC7+II, and it seems that they ship the II...or am I just reading things wrong?

As for fans, well I want as quiet as possible when I build my pc...so money on them is no matter really. Plan on getting a Zalman CPU cooler aswell as a Zalman GPU cooler too...as they seem to be quiet and decent.

Your reading it completely right.

If money is no object, for me Acoustifan dustproofs as they are very quiet indeed.

And the PC7+ and PC7+II use the same box, Lian Li having loads of boxes left over started putting the +II cases into the + boxes, so now there is a slim chance you will get an old one, as it was a year ago they stopped making them.

Unless the store opens up every case and checks, then charges £40 for the service you can not guarantee the 120/120, but I have not heard of anyone buying from OcUK getting the 80mm in over a year. ;)
