just built this pc from scratch and don't know if its just me on my system with an SSD but it just feels a bit sluggish.

CPU: Athlon 750K
RAM: Ballistix 4GB 1600mhz
Mobo: MSI A55M-E33 AMD A55 Chipset (Socket FM2) DDR3
HDD: Seagate Barracuda 7200RPM 1TB SATA 6Gb/s 64MB Cache
GPU: Sapphire R7 260X OC 2GB GDDR5

Its currently running on the stock AMD fan but something does seem to get very noisy once games have been playing for a while.

Would chucking a 128GB SSD make that much of a difference in the feel of the system (Not ran without an SSD for years now)?

Anything else you can recommend to make it a bit more responsive?

Will take a look at whats running in the background when I get home

ssd would help a lot in windows
if its windows 8 you might be hitting swapfile a lot

id set a fan profile on the gfx card if that not quiet it down any get a cheap cpu cooler ><

ordered a chap 64GB SSD for windows and applications.

Yes its running windows 8.1

will take a look at the fan profile.

Any ideas on a cheap ATX - Micro ATX case that has decent airflow?

duno dont see much new like that
silverstone matx keep get cheaper they good
or could get a budget one and put couple extra fans in
like a zalman or something

Have a look at this case - Raijintek Agos Midi Tower - Black £39.99

WHy do people order 64gb ssd I mean really windows is about 50gb in and fully updated, min id use is a 120 and even then that is MIN you can get a 250gb for like 70 or 80 quid now.

Amd stock coolers are loud get a after market one

windows 8 only takes up 30GB and its for my sons PC so its only going to have Windows, office and antivirus on the SSD. It also cost me £30 incl delivery.

Was looking at an aftermarket cooler as well.

i think this 1 looks rly good value
