The 2 Lian Li cases in the title, from all I can tell, they are identical but with different front faces? I was hoping for some confirmation of this, since I've seen excellent comments on the A70B, but I'm not too keen on the styling, whereas reviews on the A71B seem to be scare.

Thanks in advance!

They are the same just the front dor on the A71. Is like the Lian Li 2110 and 2010, the 2110 just has a door on the front of the case, the rest is the same.

Can't go wrong with the A71. I love mine :D

Need to get some pics of it.
That would be great. :)

What accessories are there for the A71? Is there a replacement top for some more fans? :D

So its 2 x 12cm fans on the front, another two in the same place but further back to cool the graphics card and two more at the back, one at the top and one at the bottom?

I feel like getting a case with the ability to have exhaust fans in the top of the case. :D

That would be great. :)
Or just check Lian Li's product page:

Also all internal pics of A70 apply directly

There are tops with fan holes (A70/71, A77 and A7010/7110 seems to use same tops) but instead of that I would keep this kind PCI/graphic card fan as better addition because it removes warm air directly from its source, creates airflow between cards you have there and does that without changing present airflow pattern.

I have 2 radiators in my case, so the fan layout isn't standard.
2 intakes at the front where the front ones normally are (120.2 behind then hdd's behind that)
1 intake on the back (by the mobo) and a triple rad on the top with 3 outlets.

I'd already checked the Lian-Li site. I wanted some real pics of the case being used by real people not demo pics. :)

That reviews site is what I wanted. Ta.

I would love to see some more pics of the A71B........ :)

Hi, not the 71B, but an 'A'...

That case is just beutiful in my opinion, I've been recently looking into buying a nice big lian-li case and came across the a70/a71 and I've had my heart set on it for the last week, Finally i'll be able to order one on sunday :D

I was thinking of the black version but my current case is black so silver would be a nice change I guess and I must say your a71a does look very nice indeed ;)

Heres my review almost 10 months ago

http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showthread.php?t=17799173&highlight=review+username_highlander

however I did sell this fine beast 6 months ago lol so I only kept it for barely 3 months I think ;)

My feelings are its an excellent case I could have adjusted the system to meet my needs since I required a slightly more silent Case+system but frankly got a good enuff price for it so sold it off.
But otherwise its a lovely system, I feel I might need to go for an Lian Li or another designed with more silence in mind :)

got my A71a today great case, no vibration noises,i did get a small cut on my hand somehow but that was probably from my old case and its more like a scatch that i didnt notice until after.

stock fans are very quiet the loudest fan in my pc is on my gpu  , i had to put my hands near all the fans to check they were spinning properly there that quiet, i didnt even realise in my old case but it sounds like the bearing in my gpu fan is going it rattles a bit on startup.

even when i first booted with the side panels still off incase i ran into any problems i could feel the cool air from the fans its amazing how quiet they are, during my research i came across people saying they swapped the stock fans out because they were to noisy but im thinking of getting some higher rpm fans.

i forgot to check what fans they were but connected by the 3pin my motherboard was showing them as 1320RPM.

the motherboard tray is slightly different than all of the pictures i saw during my research i guess they must have made a through revisions to the case at some point as my tray has a bunch of holes cut into it for cable management.

the only annoying aspect of the case imo is how you have to remove 4 small screws to remove the front panel in order to reach the dust filters other than that its perfect for me!

btw i can hear the rain outside hitting on my window ! i havent heard that in this room for such along time! i think i might have to get a quiet keyboard aswell it seems so noisy now! lol

Except for possible rattling of loose parts vibration induced noise would be actually hard to hear in standard noisy cases with noisy components... but touching various parts of case with finger tells very well are there "vibrations on loose". (and in cases without soft HDD mounting they're there always)

"Skin peeling" and sometimes cutting finger even unnoticed and then wondering from where all those reddish brown stains sprout used to be norm in "good old days"...
So if that kind stains start to appear into things you touch remember to check fingers for "leaks". :p

Lian Li probably doesn't make fans but buys them from manufacturers so they might well change maker of fans once in a while (if after lower prices) or then they might have changed to better quality manufacturer. Low quality fans can have horrible bearing noises which continue regardless of RPM until fan is stopped totally.

Just first remove that internal stamped grill from exhaust fan next to CPU, not much loose cables in that area and it covers notable percentage of fan's intake.

Sounds good! thats what i hate about mine!

Anychance of a pic?

And welcome to *** club :)

I love this case sooo much! 6months on and no doubt its staying :)

yeah i bought an a70 the other week when i noticed them for £117, great case much much better than anything ive previously owned. had a big cheesy grin whilst swapping pc from old case to this one as it was so nice to work with and so spacious, plan to get the modded 3 fan top and go with watercooling soon

heres a shot of the mobo tray, bad pic i dont really have a clue about digital cameras , my wifes has to many settings so i just selected one and hit the button...

the fans in mine just say "lian-li l121225BL-4" on them, 0.27A /12V , there all 3pin with molex adapters attached to each fan.

cant find much info on them but there super quiet even my sons laptop fan makes more noise

I'm thinking of getting the A71B, looks like a lovely case. Was thinking about replacing the fans with Noctuas too. Are the fan mounts standard ones?
