Hi,
My current gaming system is giving me major headaches crashing every 10 minutes or so with a GFX driver stopped responding error when I have my 8800ULTRA installed.
I have swapped this out with an 8600GT I had in another system which seems to have stopped the issue making me think something is actually up with the 8800ULTRA.
I'm trying to decide on the best course of action for this system as it has proved quite problematic with the GFX issue and when I attempted to upgrade the RAM to 4GB it refused to boot at all (RAM was apparently compatable but refused to boot with all 4 stick in so RAM was returned).
I'm really wanting 4GB RAM and a GFX solution that does not crash every 10 minutes so was toying with the idea of replacing the system with one of the Ultima systems from Overclockers.
I have I think narrowed it down to the followng two systems but canot decide if I wantto go ATI or Nvidia:
"Ultima OC HD 3870 X2" Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 2.40GHz @ QX6950+ 3.30GHz+ Quad Core SILENT DDR2 System
or
"Ultima OC 9800GTX" Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 2.40GHz @ QX6950+ 3.30GHz Quad Core SILENT DDR2 System
