I have been researching for quite a while now and reviewing all the forum posts on OCuk and other websites and so far, this is the next PC im looking at getting. Just wanted to know what you guys think to all the components and if there are any admendments you would make to the list.

Just a few issues I was wondering about, the gpu I have chosen, Im not sure whether it is the best for the res I use of 1680*1050 on a 22". I use my current pc for gaming and media so need this new one to be created for these purposes. The components I have chosen I think best suit what I want for my budget (of around £800). I have heard good things about all the components I have got so thought I would post and see what you guys thought.

Cheers

came up with the following, changed the cpu cooler to the noctua, hard drive to the samsung 750gb/32mb cache.

4gb of ram being as you're running vista, non pro version of the p5k (unless you want some of the pro's extra features).

psu to the modular corsair 520w and GTS to run on the 22" monitor, dvd drive is a samsung just cos i'm happy with mine

Get 4Gb of memory, Vista64 would like it much better.

Scrap the Maxtor disk, get a 640GB Samsung F1 instead, much, much better.

Are you sure about the GTS... Even though it is overclocked isnt the GT better performace at higher res?

I forgot to add that I was getting 2 lots of the RAM in my first post (equalling 4GB) as I am getting 64-bit

I think GTS is slightly better than GT about 5% to 10% performance gain in games but the GTS is %50 more in price. IMO the GT is a wiser choice

Ahh okie, cheers for the advice guys, GTS is the way forward for me then. Just need a little more money put towards it but as long as performance is increased, all is good!

The GT is very good value for money. But the GTS will definately be noticeably better at 22" so is worth buying.

and, as said before, don't buy a maxtor HDD.

Yeah GTS it is then.
I wont get that HDD, seems to be one not many people are too fond of... To be honest I havent really looked into what HDD would be best so its quite good I have been recommended a descent one now
