PC Almost Not Useable

I bought my pc from you guys not to long ago, it has been only ok since. Some games with very low requirements such as gmod will cause the entire PC to slow down to nearly unfunctionable use. But recently my biggest problem has been its capability to connect and maintain an internet connection. It will cut out constantly and my ping will often sit at around 1000, my upload will peak a max of 1mb per second but will usually sit at around 0.16mb's. I don't know whether there is a problem with the motherboard or the ram, I really have no idea but for the price I paid I did not expect my pc to deteriorate in such a small time scale.

Hi there :)

Point of order - you didn't buy it from 'us', you bought it from Overclockers. The forums aren't really connected to the shop. If it's still under warranty I'd start by calling the shop for help

If you're out of warranty the next thing to do is establish whether the issues are hardware or software based. I'd personally start with finding out what's running in the background - bring up task manager and see if anything is hogging resources. Do a full malware scan and ensure all drivers are up to date. Check temperatures in the BIOS and if overclocked, reset the BIOS to defaults (you can always wind the overclock back on later).

Also, it would help us if you listed your full spec and what version of Windows you're using.

Yeah there's no way that system should grind to a halt from GMOD. Same with the internet (assuming the speeds are fine with other devices)

I'd give them a call, see what advice they can give.

Hi mate, yeah those specs should run better than you've described but have you tried raising a web note on the website? I raised on the other day and their support team got right in touch and answered all the questions I had about my newly ordered PC.

Give that a try, I'll put the link below. :D
