Hi there

I have a HP a6658f desktop machine

I cleaned the dust out of the cpu cooler by removing it and in the process took the single RAM stick out and then put it back in the same slot

When I switched it on, it started beeping, 2 short beeps and 1 long beep

Whats up with it? please help

The mobo is a IPIBL - LB mobo

Please help

Thanks

I tried reseating the GPU a few times and nothing...

hmmmmmm

so strange it worked fine before i only opened it to clean the dust up how weird

The error code does suggest the GPU. They vary between bios versions but with award bios 1 long and 2 short is the gfx card.

Odd if you havent removed or touched the card. Certainly worth popping out the cmos battery. Can you not test the RAM and Gfx card in another rig?

its weird it will just not post

after I press the power switch, the fans spin, and then immediately it begins to beep

2 short beeps and 1 long beep
