PC beeps then turns off

Pc has been working fine for years then today I tried testing a new graphics card, was working fine... then after about 20mins of gaming the machine beeped and turned off. turned it back on 20 mins later the same.. So ive changed the card back to the old one but its still happening. Any1 have any idea why?

Overheating?

All fans spinning?

Daughters pc had a similar fault, I think I took enough dust out of the cpu heatsink to fill a hooverbag!

Probably heat/dust/fluff, but maybe the power supply can't cope with the new card.

System specs needed

Start by taking the side of the case off and removing whatever didn't used to be there with a small paintbrush or similar and a hoover. Try not to actually touch the bits with the hoover and leave it plugged in, but switched off at the wall so it's earthed.

Then try it again with the side of the case still off.
