Hello all,

My desktop PC worked fine one day the next day everything powers up, the motherboard lights up as normal, the motherboard info led is led which suggests the cpu is fine. The memory I've checked, no issue. All I get is a blank screen, and I can't access the bios to reset it.

Any tips as to what caused this?

Thanks

Dave

You can reset the BIOS without a display if needed, just short the CMOS jumper on the motherboard. But before you do that, list your full pc spec including any overclocks.

Thanks. I've hard reset the bios onboard, to no avail.

Intel i7 4790 Devil's Canyon
Gigabyte motherboard
16gb RAM
800W PSU

I've tried two different graphics cards to no avail. Cheers.

Tried plugging the screen direct into the motherboard and not the graphics card?

I've tried but no cigar. I've put 2 different graphics cars in, and tried the onboard GPU all seem fine. I just cannot figure it out what component is dodgy as the motherboard, cpu, ram and PSU and graphics cards, 1 of them should work.

Cheers for the suggestion:)
